Every year, the Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC) helps change the lives of children with special healthcare needs and their families. CDTC serves over 10,000 children annually who have chronic illnesses and developmental disabilities. With a mission to provide optimal health and well being of children and youth, CDTC provides family centered comprehensive prevention, intervention and treatment services within a medical home environment.
This year, CDTC along with the help of Jen Klaassens from The Wasie Foundation developed a new program called the “Transformers”. These Transformers help CDTC continue to provide children and their families with health and treatment services in many ways. Becoming a Transformer is more than just writing a check; this program brings together various individuals and professionals who want to be a part of a life changing experience. Recently, The Wasie Foundation sponsored five members of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce to become a Transformer for one entire year.
“There are no words to express how grateful I am to have been chosen to be a part of this wonderful Transformers family. I am thankful to The Wasie Foundation along with CDTC for giving me the opportunity to help change the lives of children and their families”
says Arminda “Mindy” Figueroa. My team and I want to help spread the word and work of this wonderful and inspiring organization in any way we can. We will be hosting a “Bringing CDTC Children to Life” event in our Fort Lauderdale offices in September. It will be a great opportunity for our guests to learn more about the CDTC Transformers program and how they can help”, adds Mindy.
